DISNEYLAND: Dumbo The Flying Elephant's Flapping Ears
Dumbo The Flying Elephant was supposed to open when the park did, but because of issues with the 700-pound fiberglass prototypes, they had to wait. Dumbo originally had ears that flapped up and down, but they proved problematic, so the ears just stayed locked into place until the mid-1960’s when the Dumbo vehicles were created from one solid mold.
